Due to humankind's growing greed and corruption, it ultimately gave birth to demons called the Afrit, also known in mythology as Jinn."
Thousands of years ago, on the other side of the world, Jinn were born from smokeless fire, created out of chaos, death, and madness caused by the sisters’ most precious creations. The Jinn began to walk the earth, feeding on the decay of humanity."
Jinn were demon spirits that took many forms. The most common form was brainless undead monsters called Ghouls. Then, there were shapeshifting giant wolves called Sila. But the most powerful type of Jinn were called Marid. These beings had almost God-like abilities.
At the height of their powers, they were known to be able to conjure and manipulate the weather, using it to cause mass devastation with a simple snap of their massive fingers.
For thousands of years, Jinn roamed in the shadows, causing minor disturbances but mainly keeping to themselves. They didn’t set out to create misery and decay; they simply waited for it to happen. That was until the world saw a short-lived period of widespread peace and prosperity when no nations were warring, and the world's population was not hungry. During this period, Jinn began to slowly die off. Facing the possibility of extinction, a Marid named Thanatos, dubbed the Jinn God of Death, enlisted the aid of Gaia, the Jinn God of Chaos, and Phobetor, the Jinn God of Nightmares, to create an army.
The three powerful Marid decided they were tired of simply surviving in the shadows. They banded together and vowed to create an army of Jinn with a mission of causing a never-ending cycle of corruption and death. Their ultimate goal was global destruction and world domination. The plan was to enslave humankind, ensuring generations of misery and pain for the Jinn to feast on.
Ghouls were to be the foot soldiers who could cause mayhem, primarily due to their sheer overwhelming numbers. The smarter Sila shapeshifters would take command roles in the Jinn army, following the orders of their generals, the three Marid. The Jinn invasion would coincide with a time in history known as the Dark Ages.
